Sara Harakat is a Visual Artist and Architect who spent the past few years jumping between cities to explore the phenomenon of being a stranger in another place. From Beirut to Mumbai, Tehran to Casablanca,   Istanbul to Cairo, her work tackles the meaning and complexity of belonging. She has been developing an independent urban research practice working with various media.
Sara completed her  Masters in Architecture at “Ecole Nationale d'Architecture de Paris La Villette”(FRANCE) and Visual Anthropology at METU University (TURKEY).

Sara co-founded a hybrid studio with her sister : HARAKAT STUDIO. The sisters roam the world in search of inspiration and creative projects. They are continuously exploring new artistic expression and questionning  their diverse identity.        
Using images,  architecture, urban research, design to explore the relationship of people and their cities.  
The studio takes regular commissions while producing original creations and limited edition designs.
